*sigh* Im hopeless : Something Fancy

*sigh* Im hopeless

I’ve left this website open for more than a year now, and over this period of one year, Something Fancy has never been completely finished. Sometimes I wish I could drop all my schoolwork, just drop everything, and go back to my old life where i would spend almost all my time running my website(s).

I miss my Tokio Hotel fansite, tokiofans.com. The first Australian Tokio Hotel fansite. But truth be told, while running tokiofans.com, my grades began to drop ridiculous amounts. That is why I closed tokiofans.com. I seriously cried when it closed, which must sound ridiculous and obsessive, but it’s the truth.

Still to this day, when I remember the joy tokiofans.com had brought to me, I become saddened. I loved my visitors. I would spend so much time making tokiofans.com perfect, just to make my visitors happy. They would always send me appreciative emails that would make me smile. That was always my favourite part, checking my emails.

I also loved watching the number of visitors increase. When tokiofans.com first opened in June 2007, it only received approx. 30 visitors per day. Towards the end of tokiofans.com (May 2008) it received more than 2000 visitors per day. That ia a great success for any webmaster.

In August 2007, I put together a birthday scrapbook for the Kaulitz twin’s 18th birthday! I collected birthday messages from tokiofans.com visitors from across the world. All together, over 1000 birthday messages had been submitted! The scrapbook ended up being so big and heavy haha. Here is a video:

In the beginning of 2008, I opened up a section dedicated to bringing Tokio Hotel to Australia! Within the time it was up, many projects were put in place, some looking to be very successful, but tokiofans.com had closed before any of the projects had finished. The Australian Fan Photo Wall had over 100 photos, the Major Video Project had over 20 videos submitted and the petition gained an extra 1000 signatures!

A major achievement for myself, tokiofans.com and the Australian Fans would be when tokiofans.com was featured in Dolly Magazine in early 2008! Although at the time it was extremely embarrassing when people at my school started to realise that it was me in Dolly magazine and started chasing me around the school with the article. xD

I don’t regret closing tokiofans.com because I know it was for the best, for the sake of my schoolwork and my future. But that does not mean I don’t miss it. Tokio Hotel were never featured in any sort of media at all in Australia during this time. Except once on MTV for the EMA’s (oh how i cried and ran around my house, jumping and screaming). Being the webmiss of tokiofans.com made me feel somewhat connected to Tokio Hotel.

As you now know, running tokiofans.com was full of rewards. However, this is not the end. Once I finish my education, I wish to remake tokiofans.com and start all over again. I still love Tokio Hotel, and I still love their fans. I’ve let Something Fancy die, and so no one will read this blog. I’ll simply consider this to be an emotional release hah.

Registration is free for them, can 3 ads for selling or buying a car free place.

Of the services for them are optional:
